About Me and My Writing Goals

Hi, I’m Rebecca Ford and I’m fairly new to Medium as both a reader and writer. Though I’ve been writing since I was a kid, and I’ve dabbled in many different genres, I’ve never earned an income or made my living from writing, however, I’m about to change that.

I’ve published a few pieces here and there, but most of my writing has been for my own blogs. Currently, I have two blogs that I work on when time permits since I have a pretty busy life outside of my career as a full-time Spanish teacher.

While I enjoy writing about a variety of topics, I’m particularly attracted to personal development, travel and wilderness adventures, the environment, education, animal welfare, and of course, the craft of writing. A Connecticut native, I’ve now been living in the beautiful state of Tennessee for 14 years where I reside with my amazing fiancé, our three sassy cats, two energetic dogs, and my sweet and talented Quarter Horse.
